Changelog

We are always looking for ways to improve our apps. If there are any feature updates you feel would improve Bundle Builder, we'd love to hear them.

May 2021

  • New setting in General: "Hide products in "Draft" state". This prevents draft or archived products being visible or sold via bundles.
  • Translations now work fully with Shopify's convention of having the prefix in the URL instead of adding ?lang=fr. This means better compatibility with other translations apps.
  • Bugfix: duplicate orders in the analytics area should be fixed.

March 2021

  • Previous button no longer disabled on sectioned bundles when criteria is not met.

  • Primary location is now synced correctly on our side when the merchant updates their primary location.

  • Added padding to the bottom of the app to prevent Helpscout beacon from covering buttons.

  • Better error message when collection import fails due to store password.

  • Added option to hide out of stock and unavailable product options.


October 2020

  • Note field now displays correctly when editing a bundle that is already inside the cart.

  • A new bundle-specific option has been added for disabling section navigation buttons (Next/Previous), when the Conditions for that section have not been met.

  • Improved translations functionality.

  • Fixed a bug with the layout on iPad devices.

  • New tags have been added to the bundle dummy products.

  • Changed settings so that tax options can no longer be changed after bundle has been created.

  • Orders export bug fixed in Firefox.

  • Improved wording on the storefront.

  • Added a product-selection feature allowing merchants to import products from a collection into a bundle.


September 2020

  • Bundle creation/editing now has a tabbed layout, for easier navigation.

  • New Status page which collates any issues that need to be addressed, such as Multiple SKU installation being incomplete or required products being deleted that are still present in bundles.

  • Revamped Orders page, previously known as the Reports Module.

  • Conditional rules have been changed by using text instead of symbols.

  • Dashboard, the initial page when opening Bundle Builder, has been redesigned to be simpler. The graph has changed from a bar chart to a line chart.

  • The help section has been redesigned to be simpler.

  • Removed the 'Getting Started' feature.


August 2020

  • Product filtering option now available, which allows customers to filter by tags on the bundle page

  • Products in the bundle contents have been merged into two sections (optional and required), rather than being split by bundle section

  • Improved variant selection in Read More modal

  • Quantity selectors now disabled for all products when this feature is inactive

 

July 2020

  • Multiple currencies are now supported

  • Quantity selectors similar to default template have been added to Template Creator

  • Installation instructions have been improved

  • New option to hide out of stock products completely from bundles

  • New option to prevent selling out-of-stock products when inventory is not handled by Shopify

  • Optional products are now automatically removed from bundles when the corresponding product has been deleted in Shopify

January 2020

  • New conditional logic for bundle sections which allows users to hide certain products when others are selected.

  • New Multiple SKU notifications on dashboard and bundle type selection section when a merchant's theme changes and they have Multiple SKU bundles on their store.

  • New warning on installation page about potential issues with Cart Drawers and Multiple SKU bundles.

  • Fixed installation requests from the installation page causing crashes.

  • Minor text updates.

 

December 2019

  • Identical products are now grouped together in draft orders with the correct quantity (rather than all appearing separately with a quantity of 1).

  • All reports and analytics in the Bundle Builder admin now display in the shop's timezone.

  • Variant ordering now corresponds to what is set in the products section in the Shopify admin. Actual product ordering is unaffected and is set in the Bundle Builder app as normal.

  • A new error message has been added for when the customer/visitor's internet is the reason for server communication issues.

  • Users now have the option to always centre the products on the bundle page, even when a row is not filled completely.

  • Users are no longer redirected to the dashboard when they save edits to an existing bundle.

  • New users will see a Getting Started section which gives the user a more guided introduction to the app and its capabilities. Once the action or event is completed, the step will be marked as "done" to help guide progression.

 

November 2019

  • Text has been updated across the app to be more informative.

  • Product picker section has been updated:

    • It's now easier for merchants to add variants with a new "+ Add variant" button which appears when there are multiple variants to choose from.

    • A quantity is now required on required items (defaults to 1)

  • New criterium for conditional logic: Number of different products.

  • 0 price bundles can now be allowed through a setting in the bundle editor.

  • New link to feedback form in the dashboard.

  • Note field content now included on the Cart page.

  • The Installation page has been updated to include more helpful information, including a new "Bundle type in use" section so you can instantly see what bundle types are currently in use on your store.

 

October 2019

  • App now displays informative warning message to merchants with conflicting apps installed.

  • Users are now able to add tiered discounting to bundles, for example: the more items are added to the bundle, the bigger the discount.

  • App now displays a warning message when user tries to delete a bundle.

  • The Bundle Description has been moved to the 'Configure' page.

  • 'Add a note' functionality has been released, so customers can add text content to their bundle before adding it to the cart.

  • “Invoice not ready” error in checkout should be resolved now.

  • Merchants can now set bundles to “draft” mode and preview the bundle page without publishing.

  • “Help & Support” page now contains all support links, export is now in a single location “Reports” and there is a banner that notifies merchants of this in the old location.

  • Improved formatting of the instructions on installation checker and removed duplicate messages.

  • New warning added when a user tries to save an empty section (i.e. a section with no products).

  • Launched new Help Docs website with searchable FAQs allowing merchants to find answers to their questions easily and quickly.

  • Launched "Multiple SKU Bundles" functionality to enable products to show individually in orders and offer a wide scope of functionality.

  • New CSS deployed to improve the default styling for the page.

  • Added a WYSIWYG editor to the bundle description to allow better customisation of the bundle description.

  • Launched an Analytics module in the app using Shopify’s GraphQL Admin API. Analytics will provide merchants with quick view statistics on their bundle sales plus enhanced export functionality with filtering abilities.

  • Fade out the Save button unless there is something new to save in the bundle admin.

  • Added new ‘Help’ feature in the app which provides app users with immediate access to support and previously asked questions to help solve issues faster.

  • Enhanced app infrastructure including servers and increased loading speeds for the app.

  • Added new CSS classes to the multi-section bundle format to make the bundle contents box editable with custom CSS.

  • Option for 3rd party systems such as fulfilment, warehouse, and inventory services and applications, to read information about the contents of the bundles purchased by your customers via a metafield in the Shopify admin API. See the FAQ page for more details.

 

August 2018

  • We've simplified the layout for the bundle creation process to make it more user-friendly. All the same features are there, just organised into 3 sections: Set-up, Products and Configuration.

  • Shopify update; Mandatory webhooks. All Shopify app developers who handle personal information are required to subscribe to mandatory webhooks. These changes will not affect your store, they will allow Shopify to send us push notifications when customers/merchants request personal data.

  • Loading times: We're continually improving and optimising the app code for page loading speed to ensure your customers are seeing your bundles as quickly as possible.

 

July 2018

  • Ability to have detailed product information appear in modals on the bundle page. You can test this new feature by going to the bundle admin area and selecting the checkbox that says Show 'read more' link. This read more link will now open a modal with the detailed product description and show additional product images.

  • Shopify platform change to manage inventory across multiple locations. Shopify is adding new inventory management functionality to the platform which means we've had to make a few changes to our Bundle Builder app to ensure compatibility. This should not affect you, but please let us know if you notice anything.

  • You can now export all bundle order data over 60 days. Shopify recently made a change to restrict apps access to merchant's order data passed 60 days. We have just been granted permission to read all orders, so you can download all your bundle data in our export functionality.

  • The bundle app will now automatically update to show the next variant when sold out. When you have a product with a variant that has sold out, the app will automatically show the next variant instead of showing a 'sold out' label.

  • New option to show duplicate products as singular in the bundle contents, and changed the wording for maximum bundles.

  • Allow HTML in the 'Bundle Description'

  • Raise the 20 product limit, disable 'Add to Cart' buttons once a maximum is reached, and set a 'Maximum' products per bundle

  • Fixed incorrect color labels, and further tweaked the product price. (Thanks again Jonny)
