Introduction - Inventory
On the Inventory tab, you can manage certain aspects relating to how your inventory is processed behind the scenes via your Shopify admin.
Inventory
The Inventory section allows you to input optional details for your bundle, such as the SKU, vendor, and variant prefix. Although not mandatory, including this information can make it easier for both you and your customers to identify inventory after an order has been placed.
Example:
SKU (for single SKU bundles only - optional)
If you have a stock keeping unit (SKU) for a single SKU bundle, you can enter it here. Your SKU will be displayed in orders.
Example SKU:
Vendor (optional)
If you wish to display the name of the store/company that manufactured/developed the bundle's contents, you can input the vendor's name here. The vendor can usually be displayed on your storefront alongside your product by configuring your theme's options/settings.
Example vendor display:
Variant prefix (optional)
Use this field to assign a prefix to precede the order number for this bundle. The variant prefix (e.g., Bundle #001) will serve as a useful identifier to quickly associate an order with its corresponding bundle.
Furthermore, it helps locate an order's unique bundle combination - which is especially helpful for processing returns.
Example variant prefix:
Bundle type
In the initial Setup tab, you were prompted to select between a classic bundle and a native bundle type. You can now verify your bundle choice.
If you opted for a classic bundle, you have the option to choose between:
- Single SKU
- Multiple SKU
If you've selected the native bundle type, simply continue with Native bundle as your choice. Remember, all products included in a native bundle must be available in the Online Store sales channel.
Note: Swapping from a native bundle to a classic bundle at this stage may affect your pricing and discounts.
