There are two ways you can enable inventory tracking.

  1. If you track inventory through Shopify: You can track inventory through Shopify by going to a product's page and scrolling down to the Inventory section. Check the box named Track quantity.

  2. If you track inventory through a third-party / fulfillment service: Go to Bundle Builder's General settings page and enable third-party inventory tracking.

The steps for each method are explained in more detail below.

Tracking inventory

It's essential to ensure that inventory tracking is set up correctly. This is because, if products or variants run out of stock (or are removed), Bundle Builder can still accurately update your inventory after bundle sales.

The app will ensure the number of available bundles is in line with the number of products available, so the bundle can only be purchased if there are enough products in stock.

When an order is canceled, the inventory will be increased back to its original state.

Inventory tracking through Shopify

If you do not use any third-party inventory and fulfillment apps, it's likely that your inventory tracking is controlled through Shopify. To track inventory through Shopify:

Step 1: Within your Shopify admin dashboard, go to Products.

Step 2: Select your bundle.

Step 3: Scroll down to the Inventory section and check the Track quantity box.

Step 4: Click Save.

Inventory tracking through third-party services

If you use third-party inventory and fulfillment services, you can align your inventory with Bundle Builder through the app itself. To do this:

Step 1: Within Bundle Builder, go to Settings, then proceed to General.
